AND

TRICK ‘N’ TREAT PAWZELICIOUS TREATS
(Limited edition)

Welcome to our November newsletter.  Rain – it certainly doesn’t make life easy for us dog owners.  And what with the mud and dark evenings there really is no escaping the fact that winter is just around the corner.  So to keep the winter blues at bay and to keep your dog in top condition through the cold months ahead, we at Plush Pawz have got some great tips and special offers for you and your dog.

Have you checked your dog’s paws recently? Do their nails need trimming or are their paws hairy?
Is there excess hair between the pads? Are they dry and/or cracked?

Throughout the winter months there will be an increased risk to your dog’s paws and an essential part of keeping your dog healthy is to make sure their paws are well looked after. That’s why we are offering, during November only, our very special Plush Pawz Pawdicure with prices from just £10.

PAWDICURE – NECESSITY NOT LUXURY?

Why you need to keep your dog’s nails trimmed

The length of your dog’s nails effects his weight distribution and if the nails aren’t trimmed, your dog is more likely to slip, fall or injure themselves.  It can also make it very painful for your dog to walk.  A dog’s nail will continue to grow and eventually embed into the pad…ouch.

And it’s also important to keep the hair on your dog’s paws trimmed

A build up of dirt in the hair can make it difficult and uncomfortable for your dog to walk and can make their feet sore. What’s more, if they walk in de-icer and this remains in their fur, it could make them ill.

Always check your dog’s paws after a walk and give them a rinse in warm water to remove any dirt, de-icer, snow, grit or salt.

Ok, so what does our Plush Pawz Pawdicure entail?

At Plush Pawz we will:

  • Trim your dogs nails and remove any matts between their toes and pads
  • Level any excess hair beneath the foot
  • Wash and massage your dog’s paws with our special Paw & Pad shampoo which contains a combination of soothing oatmeal and essential vitamins.  This restores dry, cracked and damaged pads leaving them rejuvenated and refreshed
  • Dry your dog’s paws by hand, then trim/shape their feet
  •  To finish, we apply a paw conditioning treatment which will help protect your dog’s paws from everyday wear and tear

So treat your dog to a Plush Pawz Pawdicure today – prices start at £12 and you will receive a voucher entitling you to
15% off one of our Full Grooms (valid until 31/01/13 – quote NV/15)

ON THE TIP OF HIS TONGUE

Our PP Top Tip for November: If your dog cuts his tongue – put lemon juice on it.  A small amount of lemon juice dripped onto
the cut can help stop bleeding and disinfect the injury (it will sting a bit).

 EVERY DOG HAS HIS DAY

It seems a long time ago now, but many thanks to all those who came out and supported us at our first ever family dog show in September.  Dogs of all shapes and sizes came along and well done to our winners Oscar owned by Joanna Braine, Thor owned by Michelle Walker and Blaze owned by Marie Hamlin.

We at Plush Pawz really enjoyed ourselves and the day was a great success, so much so that we are already planning the next one. So keep a note of 7th April 2013!

Finally, if you haven’t done so already, why not join us on Facebook to keep up to date with all our news and special offers and don’t forget to ‘like’ us so you don’t miss out.  In the meantime, I hope you keep dry and call us today to book your dog’s all important Pawdicure.
